U13 Tier 2 Jr Greyhound Girls Decision
Thank you to all who attended the U13 Open Assessment Skate this past weekend.

It was great to see how talented this cohort of players is.

We have received a unanimous statement of finding and recommendation from the development committee.

The assessors have recommended the following:

"It would be in the best interest of SFHA to offer U13 house league play and have a Wildcats development team to offer more for those who wish to be more competitive. Using any additional funds for power skating and special skill instructors. Young girls this age should be still focusing on development and improving their skills everyday."

We will not be offering a tier 2 Soo Jr Greyhounds Girls team at the U13 level this season.

While we understand this is not the outcome that some had hoped for, we would like to remind you that the Wildcat DS program is a strong option.

We encourage all girls in the U13 division to register for house league with SFHA. For those that choose to stick with us, pending numbers, we will be holding Wildcat tryouts in the fall. This development stream team will have a wealth of opportunities to develop, travel and play competitive hockey, all while they play alongside their talented female teammates. This group has great potential to grow and develop TOGETHER, so that in the coming years they have strong skills and experience playing together should they choose to try out again for the Jr Greyhound Girls hockey program.

The DS track of hockey is the fastest growing program in the OWHA. We are very excited to see what this season will bring.

Registration is open, and early birds save $50. We hope to see you all back on the ice with us in the fall. We remain committed to offering you a very strong program, with more than just league play. Specialized skill sessions with a variety of quality instructors will be added to our house league program - all included in the regular registration fee.
