What does SFHA look for in House League coaches?

Enthusiasm/ability to make the game fun
Patience & the ability to make all players feel valued
Dedication to development
What is the time commitment? House League teams will have 2x weekly ice times as well as the opportunity to travel to a tournament (or 2 depending on team consensus)
How old will the players I’ll be coaching be ? We are accepting applications for all age ranges/divisions you can select those you are comfortable with:
Timbits: ages 4-6
U9: Ages 7 & 8
U11: Ages 9 & 10
U13: Ages 11 & 12
U15: Ages 13 & 14
U18: Ages 15-17
U22: Ages 18-21 (once a week ice time)
I have experience coaching, but I’m looking to take things to the next level is there a place for me at SFHA? YES. We are also looking for qualified coaches for Wildcats DS Teams. If you have coaching experience and are looking at the next level of hockey/are interested in coaching Wildcats - please apply!
I’ve never coached before, but I’ve always wanted to.. should I apply? House League is a great starting point for those wishing to begin their coaching journey. We are committed to mentoring new coaches who are wanting to volunteer their time and help guide and develop our players this coming season.
