Join the SFHA executive for the 2024-25 season!
SFHA is looking for hardworking volunteers who are committed to our vision of 'Girls Playing Girls Hockey in Sault Ste Marie'.

NOTE: These positions will be appointed until the end of the 2024-2025 season.  The executive roles will be posted, and nominees are to be elected by the membership at the AGM in May 2025.

14.10 DIRECTOR OF MEDIA

The Director of Media shall be elected at the AGM and shall serve a two-year term.
Reporting to the President, shall be responsible for all press releases, updates, special feature articles and social media. He/she may present and second any motions to the Executive. The Director of Media shall be responsible for the administration of the website operated under the direction of the Executive. He/she shall Works closely with the Executive and to maintain the Sault Female Hockey Association website www.saultgirlshockey.ca ensuring security, accuracy, and appropriateness. He/she shall assist the Executive with any queries regarding software, computers, and IT issues.

14.04 VICE-PRESIDENT HOUSE LEAGUE

Each nominee for the Vice-President House League shall have served a minimum of two (2) years of the previous five (5) on the Executive and shall be elected as the AGM to serve a two-year term.

Reporting to the President, responsible for the operation of all House League Teams and Wildcat program teams. He/she is responsible for all coaches and trainers clinics and all draft games for U7, U9, U11, U13, U18, U18 House League and development teams, as well as coaching selection for these teams. He/she will be the chairperson for the coaching selection committee for all the above mentioned teams. He/she may present and second any motions to the Executive.

14.12 Director at Large – Assistant to the VP House League

The Director at Large shall be elected at the AGM to serve a two-year term.  Reporting to the VP House League and President, shall be responsible for assisting the VP House League with the operation of all House League, Timbit and Wildcat teams.  The Director will provide support to the VP House League with coaching selection and all draft games for House League and Wildcat teams.  The Director will be a voting member and carry out other duties as assigned by the President from time to time.  The Director may present and second any motions to the Executive. Nominees for this position must be members in good standing with Sault Female Hockey Association.

14.13 Director at Large – Sponsorship and Special Events

The Director at Large shall be elected at the AGM to serve a two-year term.  Reporting to the President and the Treasurer, the Director shall be responsible for reaching out to businesses in the Algoma region and obtaining team sponsors for the House League division teams and sponsors for events held by SFHA during the season (ex: Come Try Girls Timbits event, House League Scramble, and other events).  In addition, the Director shall be the lead planner for SFHA events such as Come Try Girls Timbits event, House League Scramble, Jr Greyhound Banquet, House League Banquet, and other events as planned, and will create a working group to ensure the successful outcome of these events.  The Director will be a voting member and carry out other duties as assigned by the President from time to time.  The Director may present and second any motions to the executive.  Nominees for this position must be members in good standing with Sault Female Hockey Association.
