Program Structure & Future Planning
SFHA understands that families may have concerns about team structures moving forward. As part of our ongoing commitment to the growth and development of female hockey in our community, SFHA is discontinuing the formation of Tier 2 teams at the U13 and U15 levels unless there are a minimum of
three fully rostered House League teams (with at least 12 players per team) in those divisions.
The Wildcats Selects program will continue to follow
Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) policies, which means:
- No tryouts until November 2025
- A minimum of two House League teams (12-player rosters each) is required to establish a Wildcats Selects team in any division.

SFHA remains dedicated to providing opportunities for player development while ensuring a strong and sustainable future for female hockey in our community. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our hockey families as we navigate these changes together.
