The Sault Female Hockey Association (SFHA) executive is encouraging all eligible members to become informed about the upcoming elections for executive positions at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)The following key roles within the SFHA executive are up for election:

Secretary: This two-year term involves taking and preparing meeting minutes, managing association correspondence, collecting mail, assisting the Registrar with the online registration system, organizing the SFHA knowledge management system, and presenting/seconding motions. This role also includes significant additional duties related to fundraising at Sault Greyhound games, specifically managing the 50/50 program with OLG using the ASCEND system, coordinating team manager volunteers, handling event finances, ensuring adequate supplies, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The secretary supports the equipment manager, special events director and other duties as assigned throughout the season

Registrar: Elected for a two-year term, the Registrar is responsible for receiving player registration forms, forwarding fees to the Treasurer, maintaining accurate player records, and acting as the primary contact for the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA). The Registrar may appoint an officer to assist during peak registration periods and can also present and second motions at Executive meetings

President: Candidates for this two-year term must have served at least two of the previous five years on the SFHA Executive. The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer, presides over all meetings, chairs Executive meetings, is an ex-officio member of all standing committees, ensures the implementation of Executive orders and resolutions, and holds general supervision over the association's business and affairs. The President may act in the best interest of the Corporation in urgent situations and has a casting vote in case of a deadlock.

Vice-President House League: Nominees for this two-year term must have served a minimum of two of the previous five years on the Executive. This role is responsible for the operation of all House League and Wildcat Development Rep C program teams. Key duties include managing coaches and trainers clinics, organizing draft games for various age groups (U7 to U18 House League and development), and chairing the coaching selection committee for these teams. The Vice-President House League can also present and second motions at Executive meetings.

All of these executive roles include the additional responsibilities of planning and implementing tournaments, banquets, and other SFHA special events. SFHA emphasizes the importance of all voting members carefully and thoughtfully reviewing the criteria. The dedication and expertise of the executive are crucial to the continued success and smooth operation of the Sault Female Hockey Association.
