As most of you know, we’ve recently welcomed some new members to our board, and we’re really excited to introduce one of them to you—Frank Marson, our new Assistant to the VP of House League and Wildcats.
Frank began his involvement in female hockey back in 1998, coaching house league with the Durham West Girls Lightning Hockey Association. A few years later, he led the U18 AA Midget team to a provincial championship in just their second year. Over the years, Frank has served as a head coach, associate coach, assistant coach, general manager, and executive with several organizations including Durham West, the Toronto Aeros, North York Storm, and Oakville Hornets.
While he has coached multiple teams to league titles, provincial championships, and even a bronze medal at the Esso Cup, what he’s most proud of is the success of the players he’s mentored—many of whom have gone on to become Olympians, lawyers, doctors, teachers, and professional athletes.
Born and raised in Toronto, Frank has now retired with his wife Christine in Sault Ste. Marie, and he’s looking forward to being a part of the Sault Female Hockey Association.
We’re thrilled to have Frank on board and can’t wait to see the impact his experience and passion will bring to our programs. Welcome, Frank!
