We would like to introduce the members of our Jr. Greyhound coaching selection committee. We are fortunate to have a panel with extensive experience across various levels of the game.
Dave Gwyn
Dave has been the Head Coach of the Durham West Lightning U22 Elite hockey club since 2020, following a nine-year tenure with the Toronto Aeros’ U22 team. He is HP2 certified and serves as an HP1 mentor and evaluator. Dave’s coaching experience includes the National U22 level, and he continues to mentor many CIS and NCAA Division 1 and 3 players.
Pamala Agawa
Pam is the current coach of the U18AA team in Markham-Stouffville and has over 20 years of coaching experience. She is a four-time coach for Team Ontario at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships, where she led the team to back-to-back gold medals. Professionally, she serves as a Human Rights and Equity Advisor for the Keewatin-Patricia DSB.
Ryan Leonard
Returning for his second year on the selection committee, Ryan is the GM and Head Coach of the Hawkesbury Hawks. A product of the Sault Ste. Marie hockey community, Ryan has worked full-time in hockey for over 20 years as a Head Coach and GM at the Jr A level.
Melanie Roach
Returning for her second year on the selection committee, Melanie played minor hockey in the Sault and went on to play five years of university hockey at York University. Her playing career included provincial and national teams, as well as time in the PWHL. She now coaches both boys' and girls' hockey and a staff member for the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (U18).
We greatly appreciate their expertise in helping us select the best possible coaching staff for our athletes.
Sincerely,
