Annual General Meeting and Board Nominations
The SFHA AGM will be hosted May 28th with a time and location TBA.The Sault Female Hockey Association is now accepting nominations for Executive Director positions ahead of our upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). We encourage all members to review our constitution, role requirements and executive responsibilities before applying. 

Nomination Requirements:

  • Must be submitted in writing to the Secretary at least 30 days prior to the AGM
  • Must be signed by the nominator and nominee
  • Must be seconded by at least two (2) members in good standing
  • All participants (nominator, nominee, seconders) must be 18 years of age or olderNominees must have established involvement with the Association

Positions Available

Vice President, Operations (2-year term)

-Must have served at least 2 of the past 5 years on the Executive

-Acts in place of the President when needed

- Supports both Jr. Greyhounds and House League operations

- Chairs Discipline, Appeals, and Complaints Committees

- Assists with year-end banquets and reviews team financials

Vice President, Junior Hounds

- Supports and oversees Jr. Greyhounds programming and team operation

Director of Special Events and Sponsorship (2-Year Term)

-Plans and executes tournaments, fundraisers, and Association events -Secures and manages sponsorships (financial and in-kind) -Builds and maintains relationships with community partners -Coordinates sponsor recognition in collaboration with Media Director -Oversees event logistics, volunteers, and communication -Ensures events and partnerships support Association goals and growth

Director of Media (2-year term)

-Manages social media, website, and communications -Oversees press releases, updates, and feature content -Supports Executive with IT and digital needs

Equipment Manager (2-year term) - Maintains and distributes all Association equipment -Oversees inventory, storage, and purchasing -Coordinates jersey distribution and tracking
Director of Development (2-year term)

-Oversees player and coach development -Leads evaluations, skills sessions, and coach support -Requires (or willingness to obtain) Hockey Canada Development 1 certification 

President (2-year term)

-Must have served a minimum of two (2) of the past five (5) years on the Executive -Serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Association -Chairs all Executive and General Meetings
-
Provides overall leadership, supervision, and direction of Association operations -
Ensures Executive decisions and resolutions are implemented -Represents the Association and supports all Executive members -Holds a casting vote in the event of a tie
